Because then it would be completely honest. No reading riffs from a piece of paper!
I just wonder if this is related to WOODSTOCK.
It's well-known that Joel didn't get to go to the Original Woodstock.
And Sha-Na-Na PERFORMED at the Original Woodstock, but *not* with Bowzer! >Curiouser and curiouser....
And Woodstock was the name of a character in Peanuts. The main
character of Peanuts is Charlie Brown, which was also the name of a
song by the Coasters. And Bowzer didn't perform with the Coasters
either.
I tell you, this all adds up to something.

Well, if you eschew COASTERS, you're probably an enemy of FURNITURE!

P.S. I'm imagining a CARTOON PANEL which dramatizes the WOODSTOCK issue:
Scene: A strangely deserted NY STATE THRUWAY
A HIPPIE is walking along the road, away from a sign, which points in the other direction: "To Woodstock"
In response to another person standing nearby, he SHRUGS.
CAPTION: "No Bowzer!"
