As he was promoting his new children’s book Give Please a Chance on
CBS This Morning today, Bill O’Reilly was asked about Megyn Kelly
and her book tour.
Kelly’s book Settle for More was released today, and as you’ve no
doubt heard, it contains details about how Roger Ailes sexually
harassed her.
Norah O’Donnell asked O’Reilly if he read the book. O’Reilly said it
hasn’t yet, explaining he’s “trying to stay out of any of that kind
of stuff.”
O’Reilly, understandably, didn’t seem comfortable with being asked
about the subject (and whether he would have Kelly on his show to
talk about it), and when pressed further he said this:

“I’m not interested in basically litigating something that
is finished that makes my network look bad, okay? I’m not
interested in making my network look bad at all. That
doesn’t interest me one bit.”
O’Donnell asked if he thinks that’s what Kelly’s doing. O’Reilly
said, “I don’t know, but I’m not going to even bother with it.” He
insisted there are more pressing issues facing the country for him
to focus on now.
As CNN’s Brian Stelter pointed out, O’Reilly was on CBS’ morning
show while Kelly appeared on Good Morning America to talk about her
book and Fox.
