Pollster and political analyst Frank Luntz gathered his focus group and
had them look at some vicious TV attack ads. One is a pro-Clinton ad
that has a war veteran denouncing Trump for criticizing John McCain. "A military veteran is the single most trusted profession in America
today," Luntz said, "so the fact that the Clinton campaign is using a
veteran to attack Donald Trump is very smart." Luntz's group also
watched a pro-Trump ad that questioned Hillary Clinton's honesty and
featured her 'basket of deplorables' remark. "That ad worked because it
was Hillary Clinton in her own words insulting voters," Luntz said,
"and it worked because the number one weakness for Hillary Clinton is
her integrity."
