Pink Floyd lending their song to this production. Part of it bad, that they'd lend their talent to a DC movie, part of it good, that they'd lend their talent to such a production, sparing us from the usual contemporary pop s---- sound.
Starts off with a creatures like dinosaurs attacking some ancient Greeks who are saved by Eternals/gods. Flash forward to present day London and the Eternals (gods) are going about normal lives, some of them. Creatures attack and there is a minor world-
    wide earthquake.
Flash back to ancient Babylon where the aliens help the Earthlings with minor technological advancements. I did like the observation that humans would not have progressed if they'd not waged war on each other. Two of the aliens get together. Flash
forward to India circa 400A.D. The two aliens get married in an Indian wedding ceremony. Then, back to present day South Dakota.
The three Eternals find one of their own dead. A "Deviant" (dinosaur creature) killed it. One of the Eternals is actually deaf!! What next, a mongoloid god? Then the Angelina Jolie Eternal flips out and starts attacking the other Eternals in 16the
century Americas. Turns out some of the Eternals get a kind of mind warp, where their memories make them go nuts. So they "reset" the member by erasing their memories. One of the Eternals is a peacenik who wants to eradicate human war, for their own
good. The Eternals decided to split up and live normal lives human lives on Earth. Present day again. One of the Eternals is an actor in Bollywood dance movies!! So now they're all seeking out each other to battle the now more formidable Deviants.
Forward to Australia. The Indian guy from the movies is with the group and making a documentary about the lives of the Eternals. Gilgamesh who is Chinese (who reminds me of Oddjob from the Bond movie) is living in the Aussie outback. Angelina Jolie
is still nuts, he took here there to isolate her. Turns out, the Eternal head god seeded planets to form other Eternals and to do so, it wipes out the planet. So Earth is next. Head god says the universe needs this to perpetuate. The head god tells
Sersi that they are artificial beings created to perpetuate the production of Celestials, who control the universe. The peacenik is running a kind of Jonestown. Controlling a population of natives like puppets. He doesn't want to participate in the
Eternal's plan to thwart the emergence of the new Celestial and the destruction of Earth. Sersi, the Eternal has an interesting talent, the ability to transmute matter. One of the Deviants assumes (and kills) the Chinese Eternal and tells the Eternals
they have only assisted murderers (Celestials). Back to 1945 some Eternal "scientist" blubbering about Hiroshima. They kind of mistook Hiroshima for Nagasaki, with mountains in the background, but hey, it's only history. The black Eternal is living a
conventional human life with a son and he regrets his technological assistance to humans. The whole purpose of celestials is to populate the planet because humans provide them with the power they need to "birth" the own kind. Oh yeah, the black Eternal
is gay. Took them a while to introduce one of them. Problem with the group is their decentralized power, black scientist suggests they fuse their powers into one and that Eternal might be able to save humanity. Icarus should be the leader, but he
believes he isn't fit. Ajak, the ersatz head of the group says humanity is worth saving and that the Celestial's plan should be stopped. Turns out Icarus is a closet Celestial supporter and sends Ajak to her death at the hands of the Deviants. I
figured they'd fix him because his Eternal love loves a human. He had to be made to be bad or flawed in some way. Sersi finds out about Icarus not wanting the emergence stopped. Icarus reveals he's killed the eternal and he says he'll kill them all if
they try to stop the emergence. The group kind of fractures because to kill a Celestrial to stop the emergence may save Earth's people, but it prevent the births of billions more lifeforms on other planets which the Celestials make possible. So it
comes to Sersi to allow the connection between all the members to create the unimind. She has some thing in her that allows her to connect with Arishem, the head Celestial. The scientist this connection to form the unimind. Just as an aside, if these
movie do nothing else, they allow the world to appreciate the concept of the Greek and Roman mythologies, since these things are no more fanciful. Side issue. the high speed Eternal could probably have kept the bad guy Eternal off his balance
perpetually, thwarting his attempt to facilitate the emergence. So, the final showdown happens on a black sand beach and one of the Deviants that has absorbed the power of an Eternal it has killed so it not only attacks the bad Eternal, but the good
ones as well. Sprite, the kid eternal who teamed up with the bad eternal stabs Sersi with her excaliber sword. But the Peacenik Eternal knocks out the kid Eternal. Angelina Jolie, thena, the nuttsy Eternal is confronted by the Deviant who absorbed
the Eternal She loved. She cuts him up with her swords. So the emergence starts, truly FX nirvana, and only Sersi can stop it. So she begins to freeze the area where they gods are emerging from. But the bad Eternal escapes and faces her. Flashbacks
to her wedding in India to him. The bad Eternal changes his mind, joins her and they freeze the emerging Celestial in-place in the ocean. Sorry global warmers. The bad eternal leaves Earth and immolates himself in the sun. Sersi makes the kid "Sprite"
human so she can grow up and have a normal life. Sersi meets up with her human boyfriend. Just when it appears all is well, Sersi is dragged off the planet by the head Celestial. The head celestial tells her he'll spare the people on the planet but
    will return for "judgement."

An expo of silly, but expensive CGI, with dialogue either written by, or
aimed at, 15 year old boys. An early contender for Worst Movie of the Year.
