• THE INFORMER (no spoilers)

From moviePig@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 18 14:50:54 2021
An unjustly convicted father is forced into a dangerous undercover role.
THE INFORMER boasts a quality cast and two hours jam packed with plot ...barely enough time to engage with any of it. (From me, that's a most unusual complaint.) Nice production, somewhat recommended.

A good movie, but a muddled mess at the same time. Joel Kinnaman has
proven to be a great actor though.

Yeah, he's a pretty good indicator of a watchable movie.

What you may be calling 'muddled', I chalked up to adapting a 500-page crime-thriller novel (and maybe quite a good one) without knowing some
of it should be discarded to give the rest on-screen room to breathe.

The script should have been punched up so it wasn't like this.
