• THE MARKSMAN (no spoilers)

From moviePig@21:1/5 to All on Mon Aug 16 13:58:15 2021
Widower and down-and-out rancher Liam Neeson encounters a couple of
Mexican illegals on the run from The Cartel. THE MARKSMAN is a simple
title for a simple movie (though the two have surprisingly little to do
with each other). This is a Neeson flick, as reliable in its way as
Duke Wayne's used to be. There are a few subplots, courtesy of a
screenwriting trio, but blink and you miss them. Modestly recommended.

Big 'un ...with a telescopic sight. And a handgun with a clip.

But, as I hinted, not a lot of either. And PG-13 even then...

Something like a Browning .308. Heavy gun. I've got one, it is a
shoulder beater. Mine only has a five round mag, his shows a ten round.

that's the one weak spot with rifles. You'd think at this point they'd have shock absorbers like
the ones used on mountain bike forks to handle the punch from recoil. No, best they've come
    up with are rubber pads.

My Browning .308 is so old that it does not even have a rubber pad. And
I don't want to cut the stock to install one. Yet.

Oh, so you have poll numbers for the number of people "interested in

Nope. A handgun uses a magazine, not a clip.

That's an important distinction in nomenclature just in case you're ever
a Jeopardy contest and knowledge of trivia needs to be pressed to the limit.

I think Liam Neeson is the only actor to take on
more action roles as he gets older.
