• WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING (no spoilers)

From moviePig@21:1/5 to All on Sun Oct 2 14:14:36 2022
In the late '60s, a reclusive young woman living in North Carolina's picturesque marshlands is implicated in the death of the local jock.
Though it retains much of the bestseller's Lifetime-TV vibe, WHERE THE
CRAWDADS SING looks good and moves quickly. Somewhat recommended.

So the book is "saccharine pap" and the movie is somewhat
    recommended--what changed?

Good writers paint pictures with words, are you saying that wasn't the
case here, or should I just not give a shit.
