"Y: The Last Man" series on FX and Hulu
    https://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/y-the-last-man

Every male creature on the planet with a Y chromosome suddenly dies one
day. Except for two, a man and his monkey that he rescued from a
    lipstick laboratory.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars

The solution is simple: some of the females just choose to become males.

Yup, they had that in episode three. Worked until the testosterone ran
out. Of course, they could not father any babies either way.

I'm pretty sure this was a (non-universe) DC comic a few years back.

I did see that mentioned on the tv series website I mentioned before I
    got snipped.

There's a New Zealand-made (so that means hopelessly bad) "dark comedy"
    along the same lines ...

    Creamerie
    ---------
Eight years after a plague killed all men, three women
who run a dairy farm accidentally run over the last
surviving male human on the planet in this darkly funny,
    dystopian series.
