I've said it before and I'll say it again:

the only sequel I am interested in is the one where the aliens who
engineered the Avatar planet's biome as a computer (the tree) come to
check the results of their computation, find it has been interfered
with, track those responsible back to Earth, and demand reparations

Nothing else can possibly make sense.

On a less whimsical note, it is my understanding that there are to be
many more (5? 6?) sequels, all aimed at propagandizing the public.
That I happen to agree with the message (tolerance and equality) does
not reduce the horror caused by contemplating such a series.

    2 more.

I've done good in this world. Now I'm tired and just want to be a cranky
    dirty old man.

    2 more.

A reduction from something I read ... well, more years ago than I
recall. Plenty of time for the plan to be refined!
