• The Errors Of Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher said that there is no such thing as society, only individuals. Blinding people to social dynamics does not lead to freedom; it leads to ignorance. For as long as one uses social labels such as a “lady” or a “whore” that
presupposes society, and for informed decisions to be made this reality needs to be dealt with.

She also said that the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money. She didn’t ask the question that another great capitalist supporter Ayn Rand asked, “What is the root of money?” Most of what business sells is
technology, and technology comes from science. Which means that it is science, not business, that is the ultimate source of prosperity, and the conservative people who are against science do great wrong.

I used to work for a British-owned corporation. Its CEO had a thing for my girlfriend. He also referred to me as an American idiot. I suppose it is inevitable that there be antipathy between the English and the Americans. Former colonial masters and
their subjects are not going to have a good relationship with one another. An English band named Psychedelic Furs wrote that Margaret Thatcher’s England was “the 51st state of the USA.” However much of what I’ve seen of English anti-Americanism
is the same thing as American jingoism, just weaker. I do not support either party in the conflict.

Now there are some in American liberalism who identify American system as the root of all evil. Most of these people have not lived abroad. Bad things can happen under any system. There are plenty of bastards who aren’t affiliated with the American
system, and anyone who’s had extensive goings-on with people from American inner city or rural Australia, as I have, can tell you that.

Australia has both a strong American influence and a strong English influence. Sometimes the two do not get along. Australia has a love-hate relationship with America. On the one hand they look up to Americans, on the other hand they think that Americans
are violent, ignorant and lacking in compassion. Once again, I do not think that that can be done away with.

England is a country that used to run the world, then got taken over by America and Russia. We are seeing the same thing happening now with America. For a long time America was the place to go. Now as much of the rest of the world catches up, that is no
longer the case. A person who wants to seek a better life now has any number of places where he can go. I left America and went to Australia to marry an Australian woman. I didn’t do this to get away from America. I did this because I fell in love with
    an Australian woman.

Margaret Thatcher had both people who loved her and people who hated her. If you make a strong stance for anything, that is the result that you’re going to get. I want to correct the errors that she has made. There very much is such a thing as society.
As for money, its true basis is science rather than business; and without science business would be nowhere.
