    In my case, I fell in love at first sound with Donner Brown...we met on a jfk newsgroup in 1997, before there was online dating per se, and emailed for a few months, finding we had a lot in common...then he called me on my birthday in 1998, and the
    minute I heard his voice, I was hooked...

    Yes. He played and recorded with Donovan. He was a session player, mostly in NYC and LA. He had tough years with drugs and rock n roll that he didn't really want to talk about. I learned a lot from his sister after he died that I wish I had known
    earlier, as I think I could have helped him. He wanted nothing to do with that past. He was clean and sober when we met and a changed man, but a lot of damage had been done...
