So the President is a woman - pro Hillary message? But the President

    Well, Hillary.

    lol

The good news is, Alex pronounced 'sentient' correctly. The bad news
is, she used it wrong - at best Red Tornado may be 'autonomous' but it's >just as likely to be following it's last directive.

Wasn't she implying that the creator's mind leaped into the device?

I hadn't thought of that. I was too busy wondering why the Hell the DEO
    sent her in alone.

So the DOE has a *bunch* of Phantom Zone criminals in the basement?
    Nice to mention.

    How are they holding them?

    hell of a question

btw, every time someone writes DOE, I think Department of Energy. It's Department of Extra-Normal Operations, so why not DENO?

    LOL, I dunno

    Excellent casting on Cat's mom.

She was great, almost made Cat seem human. I've got to say that I liked
the scene with Cat telling Kara that women can't get angry in public.

I liked Jimmy saying "or black men"

Terrible casting on General Lane - it's
that guy from the life insurance commercials who can't act at all.

I don't remember him in a commercial. He's been around for decades
    playing officious military types.

Yeah, he's got one of these phony old people life insurance scam ads
they run constantly on COZI or ME or something

    google google

Okay, this is weird. There's another one where HE knows, and tells the waitress about it:

    https://youtu.be/IpMaz3zqgyc

Since when can a general have his own daughter in his chain of command, particularly on his personal staff? Give me a break.

That *did* seem dubious. What I want to know is, did she really come to
NC to see Jimmy, or to advance scout/spy for dad?

All in all though I liked it. But it's the actors and production crew >overcoming the writing, that's for sure.

Yeah, this was a decent episode, everything being relative.

He's played two similarly styled generals in the Marvel Universe, too.
You almost kinda wish there were a possibility of some sort of weird
    crossover there.

Can't answer that, but in this case the show is following the lead of
the modern comics, in which Lucy is her father's aide and, later,
orpbzrf Fhcrejbzna naq qvrf qhevat n svtug jvgu Xnen.

Not at that point. They didn't figure that out until later.
