*Season of the Witch* (1972).
Director: George Romero.
A bored suburban housewife commits adultery with her daughter's boyfriend and joins a lesbian witch coven before murdering her husband. I couldn't tell if I was watching feminist propaganda or an exploitation movie trying to capitalize on men's fear of
the women's lib movement, which was still new at the time of theatrical release. Despite some occasionally good photography and music, this was an aesthetically and thematically ugly movie. Romero should have stuck to making zombie flicks. 6/10
