From Ubiquitous@21:1/5 to All on Mon Apr 22 04:30:44 2024
Candace Cameron Bure dropped news about her upcoming project for the Great American Family channel, a new Christmas movie that will be part of the Great American Christmas slate of shows this year.

On Wednesday, the 48-year-old actress posted a screenshot on Instagram of a TVLine headline that read, “Candace Cameron Bure in ‘A Christmas Less Traveled’: Get Exclusive First Look at New Great American Family Movie.”

“Oh my lanta!!” Bure captioned her post, referencing a common phrase said by her “Full House” character. “There is so much going on in Candyland including…Christmas came early with a sneak peek of my new Christmas movie on [Great American Family] called ‘A Christmas Less Traveled’…”

The company also shared the news on social media, writing, “Premiering in November as part of the network’s #GreatAmericanChristmas slate, ‘A Christmas Less Traveled’ stars Candace Cameron Bure and Eric Johnson (‘Rookie Blue,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin’) & centers on a down-on-her-luck
proprietor who embarks on a life-changing road trip.”

A description of the movie read, “The Dine and Dash Diner has a stack of mounting unpaid bills, forcing its owner, Desi (Bure), to sell her beloved, mint condition, cherry red 1964 Ford F-100, a gift from her deceased father.”

“As Desi visits the vintage truck one last time, she discovers a recorded message from her dad on an old audio cassette,” the description added.
“Desi’s dad’s voice sends her and ‘Old Red’ out to retrace her family’s most memorable moments one last time.”

“Just as the journey begins, Desi meets Greyson (Johnson) who offers her a generous payment in exchange for a ride to ‘close the most important deal’ of his life,” the description continued. “Little do Desi and Greyson realize the less traveled road will reveal more about each of them than they could have ever known.”

Bure is the executive producer on the film, which is a Syrup Studios
production in association with the GAF star’s CandyRock Entertainment, the outlet noted.

The actress joined GAF in 2022, where she develops, produces, and stars in movies and TV shows broadcast on the channel. The former “Fuller House” star previously said she left Hallmark because she wanted to share “faith-filled” stories “that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them.”

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Bure talked about her decision to leave Hallmark for GAF.

“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that
love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment,” Bure said, noting that Hallmark had essentially become “a completely different network” than when she signed on due to a “change of leadership.”
