Friday Night Sext Scandal (LMN) - "Inspired by real stories"... Blech!!
This went pretty much as you would expect, except for the dude's
mother refusing to let him confess to the police and helping him destroy evidence (a hard drive).
The lead kid (Anthony Timpano, who in a bit of feminist
highhandedness is credited second, despite clearly being the film's lead
and main focus)
must be small! as he was barely taller than Devyn
Nekoda, and she's *tiny*!! (former ballet dancer).
Anyway, this is one of those flicks that will not be worth a
rewatch, as it's both unpleasant and depressing (and also unsatisfying,
as nobody really *pays* in the end...)

Still, I got through:
Night Court (2023) (Peacock) - "Just the Fax, Dan" (ep. #2.4). They
introduce the new clerk, Wyatt (I miss Flobert already!)
is not even main cast yet (I guess that happens in #2.5). When a
ransomware hacker sabotages the court's internet, threatening to destroy
it unless Abby convicts in the sixth case of the night, Gergs springs
into action to track down the hacker, believing newbie Wyatt to be the
most likely suspect. This episode was silly, but slight.

In my opinion this was the best ever work shown on the Wonderful World

1964? (I would have been 8 or 9 at the time and we watched The

The Scarecrow was McGoohan's next Disney lead a year after he played

True. See Superman: The Movie for an example of this. You get Marlon Brandon, then Gene Hackman, then the director, then the title card, then finally Christopher Reeve.

I remember this episode but there's not really a twist that I recall. It
was more like a melodrama about a girl who refused to talk while her
adoptive parents fretted over her then she says I love you or something
like that. Or did some other telepath show up at the end but she stayed with the adoptive family? Either way, there was no real twist.

What Did You Watch?
I watched:
Ghostbusters (4K disc) 1984 comedy about a team of scientists teaming up
to bust ghosts because busting makes them feel good. Holds up great.
Ghostbusters II (4K disc) 1989 sequel which answers the question when
things happen, someone has to deal with it, and He-Man is not available,
who you gonna call? Sure, it could have been better, but I still like
this one. And for anyone wondering whatever happened to Dana's boss the museum curator, he became a summer camp counselor, then he changed his
name, went to law school and became a lawyer. And before he immigrated
to America, he slayed dragons in his home country.
Ghostbusters (4K disc) 2016 reboot which has a new team of Ghostbusters forming to once again save New York from evil ghosts. I know there is a
very vocal group that loves to hate this movie. But I really like it. I laughed at the jokes, and I really like the story, especially the aspect
of having the main villain start out as a twisted human intentionally releasing ghosts on the city. And the movie just looks nice too. I
think this might have been my first time watching the movie in 2D
instead of 3D. I know the 3D disc is reference quality, but I just
didn't feel like wearing the 3D glasses. The 2D looked great but the
movie clearly screamed to be watched in 3D. There were so many scenes
where things were coming out of the screen. But in a very nice touch
the 2D version mimicked 3D by having a *lot* of the effects come out of
the scope framing (black bars) which made it look as if the shots were
coming out of the screen. It also had shifting aspect ratios which was another nice touch.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (4K disc) 2021 sequel which continues the story
of the 4 original Ghostbusters. This one focuses on Egon's daughter and grandkids who move into his farm after his death. The grandkids don't
know he was a Ghostbuster but after finding his equipment they uncover a
plot by one of the Ghostbuster's old enemies to destroy the world and
only Egon was holding the door until his untimely death. This was my
first time watching this since seeing it in the theater. It holds up
very well. But and I remember thinking this when I saw it the first
time, it is pretty much a remake of the first movie. Sure, it's a
different cast (although all the originals except for Rick Moranis
return). But it hits all the same beats as the first movie. And it even
has the same score. In response to the 2016 movie, they went full on nostalgia for this one. And they hit that nostalgia button hard! You
want more of the same, you're getting more of the same! Good thing for them, I liked more of the same. :-)

Disney+ claimed they put all that stuff up to get us to get long-term subscriptions but they were lying and then hit us with no refunds. So far none of the world of Disney stuff is available as such and almost nothing that’s in 4:3 is available.
The first exception was steamboat Willy,
although they put crap on the sides anyway, and the first real exception
was the first two seasons of the Zorro series. Season three, which aired on world of Disney, is nowhere to be found except on DVD. All that vault
Disney stuff which is what we used to get the service for is being withheld as well.
Scarecrow was put out on a special edition treasures DVD, and for some bizarre reason they only printed a handful of them, which were sold out instantly, and then commanded ridiculously high prices on the secondary market. I don’t understand why this does Disney any good.
Tomasina is available on the gray in 856x480 although I have no idea what
the source is

AMERIGEDDON (2016)
If this was a lot better, it might be bad enough to be an asylum film. Evil terrorists shut down the power grid in the USA. We know this because people in their lit homes are watching the news broadcast from the completely electrified studios. A bunch of people who don’t even pretend to be actors, directed in their dialogue by the son of Chuck Norris. Just awful.
IRON CHEF
The original series; episodes from season five. I kept flipping away
because they were eating horrible stuff and saying stupid things about it. Turtle soup made in the turtles own shell (upside down). Tuna, cooked in peanut oil and moon salt, which is salt that is only harvested underwater during the full moon, and as the pretty actress judge tells us, has magical powers. And of course, whole octopus.
THE BLACKOUT - INVASION EARTH
A bunch of episodes of a series strung together into a “movie” where everything gets killed, except for a big radius, that includes a hunk of Russia and the Ukraine. Completely uninteresting.
ALEXANDER: THE MAKING OF A GOD
THE BOY KING
Well, I thought this was actually going to be some sort of scripted
adventure show, but it turned out to be one of those phony documentaries
with phony experts, just spewing nonsense. Not why I quit the Netflix but
if I had the Netflix, I’d quit it now.
THE SILENT SERVICE
Submarine movie with no English audio track. Quit quickly.
MASTERS OF THE AIR Part Nine
The finale.

I was feeling so proud of myself when I got my DVR down to 60% and so
far it's been hovering just under 65% give or take as of late.
I could get it lower since I have a *bunch* of movies on there I'm
probably never going to watch. But I refuse to delete because maybe one
day I will.

In my opinion this was the best ever work shown on the Wonderful World
of Disney and while it was in the same historical era as the
Revolution was DEFINITELY in Kent in the UK. And showed in 1963?
1964? (I would have been 8 or 9 at the time and we watched The

I could do that here. I'm only a couple miles from that barge they call

sat in the laundromat putting dimes in the dryer trying to get our towels

I watched "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" when they originally
aired on HBO. I don't remember what actually happened, but I do
remember them being really good. It was good enough that I bought and watched a blu-ray box set of the "Brothers" which I gave the highest
ratings. Is "Masters of the Air" connected? If so, that might be a
good excuse to revisit "Band of Brothers," but if I have to watch that
first it may never happen!

What's your preference, a dangerous electrical utility plus volcanos, or earthquakes (plus a dangerous electrical utility)?

I have no recollection of having ever seen a frame of this before.
