I saw trailers for this a long time ago. What rule did she break? There

I haven't seen it, but it sounded interesting, so I put it into the list.

Also, when I see Emile Hirsch listed I think for a second that it's Judd Hirsch, whom I really like, so that makes me pay attention.

The same thing happens when I see James Marsden listed somewhere; I
always think for a minute that it's James Marsters.

This is hardly new, and has already been passed around to pretty much
every other streamer I can think of (except D+).

Originally I limited "Previously released" to releases in the past year
or so that could reasonably be considered premieres. More recently I've
been including older shows/movies that I'm interested in or that I think >>> others might be.

    This was something you enjoyed?

I haven't seen it, but it sounded interesting, so I put it into the list.

Also, when I see Emile Hirsch listed I think for a second that it's Judd Hirsch, whom I really like, so that makes me pay attention.

The same thing happens when I see James Marsden listed somewhere; I
always think for a minute that it's James Marsters.

Ouch! Don't tell Marsden (or Emile Hirsch!) this!!

Ian (Who used to occasionally mix up James Marsden and Jason
    Marsden!... ;p )

Am I right? This never was in wide release in theaters.

Release date Dec 21, 2016 by IFC Films (US). Domestic box office:
    $10,474. International box office: $6,159,569

One week, to quality for the Oscars?

I didn't find info on how long it was in theatres but I also didn't put
    much effort into it. *shrug*

With a box office like that, it's absolutely minimal distribution. All
right, so technically, it didn't go directly to streaming.

This website (Screen Rant, don't know how credible) says:

The Autopsy Of Jane Doe was released in a rather complicated manner. It was first distributed to the public via Video-On-Demand. It later went on to be released theatrically. Given that most people had already watched it by the time it hit theaters, it
only managed to gross $6 million.

Ah thank you. So I had remembered correctly to begin with, that this
    wasn't a theatrical movie.
