I have one positive thing to say: Baker (Abigail Hawk) looked fantastic
in the gray and black dress with the hourglass pattern, even though it
wasn't form fitting. She wore two other costumes that she looked great
in as well. I could tell days were passing by her costume changes.

Jamie's undercover work is beyond stupid. First of all, it's not
possible to suspend disbelief that any Reagan could work undercover. But
last week, he attended family dinner. This week, he not only attends
family dinner but meets repeatedly with Joe Hill, who is known to the
gang, and with Hill and Gormley. In movies and tv in which undercover
work is more realistic, they go for years without in person contact with
people from their own lives, let along top police brass.

Hill is putting Jamie's life and assignment in danger. Hill doesn't give
a shit. At one point, Hill lied to Gormley's face about whether he
    phoned the desk that keeps undercover police work from conflicts;
Gormley checked. Frank ordered Gormley to treat them like they weren't
is relatives, but Gormley does nothing. By the end of the episode, not
only has the gang caught on to being spied on but they've murdered the
woman who approached Hill looking for her missing sister. Hill needs to
    face serious discipline.

Hill is at odds with his uncle, in particular, because he blames him for
his father's death. This makes no sense. Now, Danny and obviously Frank
were on the job (and maybe Hill would have attacked the two of them,
not that either worked directly with him), but Jamie only became a cop,
after law school, because of the brother's murder.

Frank and the mayor are at odds, this time over the mayor thinking out
    loud that there should be a "diverse" committee of commissioners;
Frank takes every opportunity to lambast the mayor, even calling another
press conference to do so. Garrett is right but why should Frank take
    advise from his advisors?

Need a ruling here: Was Danny's plot worse than Jamie's? It starts
out with a finger from his serial killer (who claims to have a guilty
hidden personality doing all the killing); it's an excuse to have Jackie visit... all the way from Lawn Guyland. Jackie is there because she
received a box from the killer with evidence that he'd killed a woman.
Same woman as the finger? Different woman? The script just odesn't care
because whoever the victim was, the script entirely drops it.

At one point, Danny works with Jackie and fails to inform Baez. Baez
    is pissed.

It gets really really stupid. At one point, a newspaper reporter gets
involved because the killer contacted the newspaper. She gives Danny a
tape of the call. At one point, she calls Danny to say she's figured
something out but wants to meet Danny the next morning. Danny wants to
meet her NOW. Rather than wait at the newspaper, where there are
security guards and lots of other people around (actually, the newspaper
office should have been devoid of people to be realistic), she goes home
and promptly gets herself kidnapped. Analysis of the tape reveals it's
Staten Island so Danny heads there rather than calling a local cop.
Hanging around the ferry terminal (it sure looked like Queens), they
spot the killer, who crashes. Danny interrogates (back in Manhattan!)
even though time is of the essense. Danny loses it, then goes back in.
The serial killer (oh he's a psychiatrist or something) tries to get
Danny to admit he's fantasized about marrying Baez. Danny plays him off
against his other personality and he slips up that the reporter is alive
and in the trunk of her car.

The audio analysis shouldn't have led to any sort of conclusion that
they could have readily picked up the killer at the ferry terminal. It
    made no sense.

They might have been looking for her vehicle anyway. It makes no sense,
but they find her car, and she's released off screen. Danny asked
nothing about the two boxes and neither he nor Jackie showed the least
bit of concern for the one or possibly two new murder victims.

I guess the killer can be prosecuted for the kidnapping but nothing
    else.

Edit is told by a woman in custody on drug possession that she was raped
by a police sergeant. Edit isn't the least bit skeptical and doesn't
lift a finger to take down very specific details about the woman's
story. Well, she immediately sends her for a rape kit; I guess that's something. She calls IAB. If they did anything, it was off screen. She
calls in Erin who has no business doing anything in the complete absense
of an investigation. Her partner feels betrayed because, well, she
betrayed him by not discussing anything, same as her boss.

The police sergeant is using a tv criminal attorney who keeps letting
him talk as he says more and more shit against interest, like admitting
to having had sex with her as she was in custody, which pretty much
    confirmed her story.

Uh, there's some stupid gag at dinner. Frank pranked everybody by
ordering multiple people to pick up roasts. Basically he and Henry have leftovers for two months. It's some sort of healing.

It certainly would NOT work out that way. There would have to be at
least two blacks, two Hispanics and one from the Alphabet Mafia. One of

Back when I lived in Toronto, I remember going to a work seminar around
1995 and being told by the presenter - who, of course, was non-white -
that Toronto was already less than 50% white then. Thirty years and
LOTS of immigration later, here are the current numbers:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto#Demographics

Although Canada has taken in *some* white people along the way, the
large majority of our immigrants have been from China, the Philippines,
South Asia, and the Middle East. Apparently, our national population of
40 million now includes about 2 million Muslims, which is 4 times the
Jewish population and is making them distinctly nervous. It's also
complicating politics because the federal Liberals have both Muslim and
Jewish MPs, some of whom are cabinet ministers. But clearly the
Muslims have the upper hand because Trudeau has abandoned long-standing policies like supporting Israel in favour of more Arab-friendly
policies, to the point of actually having received a thank you from
Hamas! We haven't legalized Sharia yet though so there's always a
    chance we'll remain relatively free.

Ah - but are they Caribbean blacks?

Because while Toronto is definitely nowhere near 50% black, very few
Toronto blacks have accents at all resembling American blacks since
the majority originate from Jamaica and other Caribbean countries and
their accents don't at all resemble their American counterparts.

And unless you hang around Jane + Finch streets it won't be anywhere
near 50% in any case. Even in the late 1980s Jane + Finch was becoming
a 'no go' zone - I can hardly imagine what it's like now.

For our American friends, "South Asian" is code for India / Pakistan / Bangladesh - it certainly is not code for Malaysia or Singapore.

And unfortunately Rhino is not exaggerating on the Muslim / Jewish
"used to be balanced but isn't any more" thing. In BC a Jewish
cabinet minister got sacked for saying indiscreet things about
Palestine pre-1947 after the BC Muslim community leaders made an
announcement (withdrawn after her firing) saying that henceforth BC
provincial politicians from her part would NOT be welcome visitors in
    BC's mosques.

Given how quickly the BC provincial government caved, I expect to see
more of that kind of ultimatum followed by abject kowtowing. At least
in Vancouver the Muslim community is split between the Shia (mostly
Iranian expats from 1978-79) and the more recent Sunni immigrants but
no question immigration is completely out of control in Canada and it
didn't get that way until Justin Trudeau took power.

(We're talking about a LEGAL immigration rate of 2.5% of the national population rate a year and that does not include those on student
visas - most of those who chose Canadian schools in hope of permanent
status - very few intend to go home after graduation in 4 years - or
temporary foreign workers - most of whom DON'T go home at the end of
their 2 or 3 year work visas. In total about a million people a year
excluding illegals whcih we also have)
