A man in BC with a past conviction for child abduction and issues with pedophilia who has already cut off one ankle monitor so that he could
go walkabout won't be losing his right to leave his halfway house
unescorted at the discretion of his parole officer. The fact that he's
barred from being near children yet visited the children's section of a
public library hasn't deterred the parole board from this leniency.

People like this are getting way too many chances and abusing them all.
Then the system just shakes a finger at him and gives him more chances!
I don't understand why he got only 6 years for child abduction, why he
got parole so early, why he gets 10 years of restrictions that he can
violate at will without consequences, and still not get sent back to
prison. How much more trouble must he cause before it dawns on the
bleeding hearts that he's at grave risk to re-offend with some of our
most vulnerable citizens and needs to go back to jail until he can
develop some self-control (or stay in jail the rest of his life if he
CAN'T learn to control himself)?
