It is too real! Just because the original was destroyed in the battle
with the alien in Doctor Who "City of Death", and just because The
Doctor (Tom Baker) asked his friend Leo to paint multiple copies over
canvasses upon which he'd written "This is a fake!" and one of those was
now displayed in the Louvre, it was literally painted by the original
artist and cannot be a fake at all.

I don't agree with you at all.

This is one of my favorite stories, although it had too many parts and
not enough story development for the middle episodes. It got a special
score written for it, plus the Paris locations, and Lalla Ward just
looked so cute when she unintentionally posed for the sketch of The Time
Lady (that the artist destroyed when she realized she was being
    observed).

The world is becoming a fortress when it comes to these things, because

It's time they were all sterilized.

When I was there in 1983, our tour guide says that, despite the fact
that photography is strictly prohibited, everyone ignores this so the
Mona Lisa is kept behind glass that goes opaque at regular intervals to
keep it from getting too much light from flash bulbs. She didn't say
anything about bulletproof glass. But this was in 1983 so obviously
things could have changed since then.

By the way, everyone says the most
captivating thing about Mona Lisa is that her eyes seem to follow you.
I was bemused by the fact that the painting is hung on a wall amidst
many *other* DaVinci paintings, ALL of which have the eyes drawn the
same way. Presumably, *any* print of *any* DaVinci painting would we
just as satisfying to own and hang on your wall as good ol' Mona.

The Mona Lisa has been behind protective glass since the early 1950s
(after an attempted acid attack damaged the painting). That glass has
been changed over the years as glass technology got better. A couple of
years ago it was replaced with new, clearer, bulletproof protective
    glass.

"Since 1960, the Mona Lisa has been protected by a sheet
of bullet proof glass, which now includes a sealed
enclosure that consists of a 1.52-inch-thick glass able
to withstand permanent temperatures of 43 degrees

I can't find any reference to it turning opaque occasionally, just
phrases that say the glass does to some degree protect against camera
    flashes.

It's not even the real painting. It's a reproduction. The real one
is kept locked in a vault in the depths of the Louvre. All the
people who think they've seen the Mona Lisa when they go to the
    Louvre really haven't seen it.

The world is becoming a fortress when it comes to these things,
because of the actions of the mentally-ill and radical leftists.
It's time they were all sterilized.

I don't know whether or not the painting publically viewable in the
Louvre is the real one or not, but it has certainly been behind
bullet proof glass for years, so throwing soup or anything else at it
is nothing more than a pointless publicty stunt.

This is what it looks like now, with soup on it.

Everything you need to know about the modern western world in one short video. Spoiled useless brats attempting (and failing) to destroy a priceless work of art for reasons that make no sense and which they’re too stupid to articulate.
Meanwhile, all the museum does is set up screens to block them from view instead of dragging these scumbags out by their pink hair and throwing them in a prison cell for the next 20 years.

How does this compare to right wing shitbags engaging in insurrection at
    the nation's Capitol?
