I may just be being a pedantic, or maybe lockdown has me with more time
    for stuff like this...

At the start of the second episode, instead of a full regular opening,
there is a brief shot of something with the theme music playing for a
few seconds. The shot is often a close-up of something, but
occasionally it is a wide shot on the street.

On Wednesday (Feb 3), the shot was a street shot roughly from the middle
of the intersection of Viaduct Street and Coronation Street (near the
front of the Bistro) towards Dev’s shop, though it showed all the way
    down Coronation Street.

What stuck out when I saw this was that it was an old shot, with the
sign on the show showing “D&S Alahan’s” - not Dev’s new rebranding with
    the kids’ initials.

It caught my eye because the street was somewhat dark, with a heavy
overcast sky. This helped to highlight that the lettering on the sign
only have “&” and “Alahan s” in white letters, while the “D”, “S”,
and the apostrophe are all in grey. The white characters stuck out
    like a sore thumb.

My initial reaction was that Dev only changed the sign on the entrance
side (the Coronation Street side) and not the side facing Viaduct
Street, as this was more immediately visible in the shot. However, the
sign is the same on both sides.

Hey! Maybe I have too much time on my hands, but this group has been
very quiet lately, so here is something to discuss. ;-)

That's why they need someone sharp watching out for slipups, that's a
biggie since they made a production about the renaming :) Well done!

I didn't notice, I tend to drift as the show starts because the new sponsorship ads for Argos are so boring. :-)

But now I wonder if having time on my hands I should undelete the recording and look!

I noticed one of the breaks on Friday's hour-long episode used the
    shot again.
