I am not showing any posts since early April, is that correct or is my
system awry?

I think we have been very quiet, that is all.
I keep getting mixed up. I have had a bit of time to spare and used it watching
some "Classic Corrie" . It is 2000, Bethany has recently been born, Jim McDonald
has just killed Jez Quigley, Martin and Gail have just separated, and David is a
cute little 9 year old, not the step dad of an out of control teenager.
One day there was an episode with someone in hospital in both then and now - and
it took a moment to remember why each one was.:-)

That sounds like fun! My Samsung television has some channels of its
own and one of them shows old Corries from time to time and I found it
really strange watching, like you has to figure out who was who!
CBC is currently airing Corrie at 2pm (because of the wretched hockey
finals) but that's not so bad as the Olympics because I simply watch
it at the regular time anyway.
In my condo building I have influenced two people who are now
dedicated viewers :)

I have given up just about on current Corrie and havebeen recording classic corrie for the last few years so I can watch it when I get in. I have found it
really enjoyable, especially seeing Reg again and now Fred :-)

Yeah, me too. And they all looks so young!
And I am horrified how much I have forgotten - though not all of it, so
it must have been storylines that didn't much interest me at the time.
Linda and Mike - tick. Sally and Danny and their shop? Blank.

My mind is fully back there now, so they all look normal! :-) The classic episodes showing now were at the time I started my first year at uni, so I missed them! Nothing like catching up on them just over 21.5 years later :-)
Oddly, I always remember Percy going to the corner shop and asking for some 'segs' (when Maureen and Maud were at the helm) - I felt like I'd hit the jackpot when I watched that bit again. Strange what sticks in your brain eh?
Also - do we have to do spoiler alert for Classic Corrie? :-)
I am old enough to remember the show actually starting though obviously in those
far off days with no way to record I missed many. Kids and teenagers have other
things to do too.
It will be a while but I need to see from early 2008 until the live episode in >2010. We were going away from a month and I decided I couldn't record and catch

Just think - twenty years from now the current episodes will be showing
up on 'Classic Corrie' and we'll be getting all nostalgic about the >storylines involving Imran and Max and Simon...

Never have returned to Emmerdale as it happens, but the Corrie live episode, got
to watch that I thought - and of course then I was hooked again! So yeah, when
they get to that period it will all be new and/or explain a lot of what happened
later!
Maybe later today I will fish around for an old episode with Ena and
Minnie. Sometimes have found it odd they celebrate Betty with the pic
in the pub but she came well after the aforementioned.

I think the actor who plays Max does a great job, I really feel I hate
him!
