• Charnock Richard

From James Heaton@21:1/5 to All on Wed Dec 2 21:10:59 2020
We stayed in the hotel Ray referenced on the way back from a Scottish trip once.

Booked a premium room. Wouldn't have fancied one of the basic ones...

30 degrees outside, and the heating wouldn't turn off!

Bar/restaurant was good... and had aircon.

I missed the reference - or having never heard of the place I guess it went over
my head - but I find hotel rooms often too hot and that sounds horrendous!

Charnock Richard is a small village and civil parish in the borough of
    Chorley, Lancashire.

It's also the location of a well-known service centre on the M6.

Not an area of the country I visit much. I suppose if I was visiting a cousin in Lytham I would use that road, but the last time I did we were staying over Harrogate way. Love the name though!

Ray referenced it as somewhere he had enjoyed a stop over with Debbie.
