    It's a paean to food and it's funny. The main story is about a single
    mother struggling to run a ramen noodle shop and the help she receives
    from a couple of benevolent truck drivers. Interspersed in this story
    are several unconnected vignettes, all involving food and dining. I can
    think of no other movie to compare this to, but I can say it delighted
    me like no movie has in quite a while. It's surprising, it's absurd,
    and it's a treasure. Give it a look.

    I was surprised to find it among the offerings on a Delta Airlines flight.
    Then it occurred to me that lots of Japanese tourists fly to Hawaii too.
