Turner Classic Movie channel (TCM) ran Jean Cocteau's version
of Beauty and the Beast last night at 2 A.M. I taped it and watched
it this morning. This is a truely magnifiecent film! The production
values are outstanding -- it's the Star Wars of fairy tales!
How did Cocteau finance this film? How did he manage to film
it so soon after WW2? Was Cocteau in France during the
occupation? How did he get along with the Vichy government?
    Anyone else see this?
