Doesn't surprise me that it's so popular. It's not
the least bit coherent, just like modern culture,
so the fact that the story leaps tracks multiple
    times goes by entirely unnoticed.

Find someone who liked it and ask them what
the film was about. Then have fun for the next
few hours torturing them by throwing the story's
contradictions in their face. As I put it elsewhere...

You: "Was the President ignoring the comet,
denying it even existed or exploiting it politically?"

    Them: "Yes."

And it's not like her position evolved. She was
exploiting it AND denying it's existence at the
    same time!

    It was just plain dumb.

Or, you are politically naive and have no sense of humor. I can understand people hating movies for all kinds of reasons. This movie is hated by humorless nitpickers.

That's exactly my point! Morons who think they're "Woke" can't
even see the contradictions! It's the perfect metaphor for
Gwobull Warbling where, amongst other contradictions any
who thinks for themselves would notice: It's often "So hot that
it's cold," like during every last cold spell, and CO2 both stays in
the atmosphere for centuries AND immediately plunges into the
    oceans, turning them to acid...

2021 was yet another La Nina year -- COLDER THAN NORMAL
OCEAN TEMPERATURES -- and yet the gwobull warblers shrieked
    about how hot it was...
