What a harrowing experience. There were a few lines that
might cause one to smile, and the leopard was nice to see
(big cats and little cats are so alike), but the blundering
incompetence of these people (Hepburn, Grant, and supporting
cast) was just an exercise in exasperation for this viewer.
I guess the moviegoers of 1938 thought this was great
comedy, but I couldn't wait for it to be over. I'm just
starting to get acquainted with Howard Hawks movies, so
don't know what to make of this in relation to him, but I
liked 'His Girl Friday' and the Bogart movies better.
