Someone with actual brains in Hollyweird has finally relaised JarJar
Abrams is just a lazy, talentless hack who ruins everything he
touches?? Unfortunately that's probably not the reason ... and stupidly
the cretin still gets paid even if he can't find anyone silly enough to
buy the series!

Overlook: J.J. Abrams' The Shining Spinoff Series
Seeking New Home After HBO Max Passes
-------------------------------------------------
J.J. Abrams' The Shining spinoff series Overlook is being
shopped by producers Warner Bros. Television to other buyers
after HBO Max decided not to move forward with the project,
according to The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet reports the
potential series has interested bidders, with Netflix as the
front-runner to possibly land the project.
Overlook would center on "the most famous haunted hotel in
American fiction," based on the iconic hotel from Stephen
King's 1977 novel and featured in Stanley Kubrick's 1980
adaptation.
The series was reportedly one of the first shows Abrams and
his Bad Robot production company set up at the streamer
through their $250 million overall deal with WarnerMedia.
Overlook intially received "production commitments," meaning
series pickups, but Overlook has "remained in the development
stages with a series commitment penalty." Should the series
not find another home, Bad Robot will be "financially
compensated as if it had."
According to the outlet's sources, WarnerMedia has decided to
focus on Abrams and Bad Robot's IP/franchise efforts for
HBO Max, such as Justice League Dark, along with other
projects like the original series Duster, starring Josh
Holloway, as well as HBO's Demimonde, and HBO Max's Subject
to Change, both based on original ideas from the filmmaker
that have series orders. The pilot of the sci-fi drama
Demimonde will be directed by Abrams.
