• Please help me identify this movie

From Andrew Kieswetter@21:1/5 to All on Thu Dec 1 01:08:28 2022
I remember watching it on tv back in the 70s.

It was a musical comedy made in either the 50s or early 60s. The only scene I really remember was when the main character was singing to his neighbors and their kids. His wife (I think) was painting a picture in their backyard. The man then stuck his
face in the painting & turned around with paint on his face, looking exactly like a clown.
It was so long ago that I forget the name of the movie or the main & supporting characters. Could anyone please help me identify it. Thanks.

I will be surprised if anybody guesses the right film. You need to
    give us much more information.

Actually he gave complete information about the film. If anyone
has seen or heard about this scene they could name the film.
It's the 'find the movie' sites that don't know it, I don't
    either.

If it was complete information, putting - "Musical Comedy, main
character, singing to his neighbors, kids, wife painting picture in
backyard. Man stuck his face in the painting. turned around with paint
on his face, looking like a clown." - would identify it. (or

It doesn't. You don't understand research.

I am thinking of a film, and this is the scene I remember:

western movie, ex-gunfighter dances with homesteader's wife on July 4,
children set of firecrackers, kills hired gun.

If you Google, the first hit is "Shane", which is the movie I was
thinking about. The information I put in is "complete".

The answer is that whatever the fruit it is probably picked too
    soon for good quality.

The answer is that whatever the fruit it is probably picked too
    soon for good quality.

I used the example of the fruit to show you that there is not enough
specific information. If you add, "William Tell shot it off a kid's
head", you would get it immediately.

If it was complete information, putting - "Musical Comedy, main
character, singing to his neighbors, kids, wife painting picture in
backyard. Man stuck his face in the painting. turned around with paint
on his face, looking like a clown." - would identify it. (or

That doesn't sound like a common scene, it could be
a unique TV or movie scene.

It is too general. The hints need to be more specific. When I say
"complete information", I mean as much information as is needed to
    identify it.

It doesn't. You don't understand research.

Do you understand that Google may not provide an answer?

Google is fairly complete. If you put in correct and focused terms,
you will get results including the result you are looking for.

All the OP would need is one actor or something more specific than the information he provided.

    I've never seen it.

That's not my problem. I was giving you an example of how Google
works in identifying films, etc. There are specific hints in my
    example.
