IT’S ALIVE! (A couple of weeks ago I announced that you were dead. I was thinking of David Matthews and fortunately I was corrected. Still, the Grim Reaper has taken his toll on interesting discussions around here. Good to
    see you back.)

You must be new to Usenet newsgroups. The posts never match the
newsgroup title, nor even the topic title for that matter. ;-)

There aren't than many decent movies produced these days that are
worth reviewing. Main themes are the teen scene, drugs and silly
sci-fi. Other than that, you can use GG to search for reviews of old
    films.

    Doesn't matter since this is rec.arts.movies.PAST-FILMS :-)

Pretty much all movies and TV shows these are sequels, prequels,
spin-offs, or reboots, and / or part of a massive franchise. There's no
real creative talent left in Hollyweird any more.

"These days" includes the past few years. I can guess that a
particular film was produced in the past five years or so merely from
    its title.

The PG-13 market is the hottest. Violence, and sex without beaver
    shots.
