I don't like to celebrate anyone's death, but she was suffering from dementia,so at least she won't suffer any longer.
From what I understood, her dementia wasn't severe, but she was
battling with her son, who was making too many decisions for her. His announcement of her death makes it sound as if they remained mostly on
good terms in spite of that.
I learned of her death through a tweet that included a YouTube clip of
her singing "Beyond Antares." I started playing it, then the tweet's use
of the past tense sank in, and I checked elsewhere for verification.
Finding out she had died while listening to her singing hit me rather hard.
