(about 100 IU/g)
I, myself, take 5000 IU/day
I know Vitamin A can be absorbed by the skin - fish oil
acts as a carrier, and probably works for D as well. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamadermatology/article-abstract/520241
Overdose starts at 77k/day over several days. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_D_toxicity#Recommended_supplement_limits
That would take absorbing 770 grams of oil a day, which seems challenging, and I
expect other effects of the oil would kick in first.

I wonder what else has been going on that I should have responded to?

XP ate rec.arts.sf.fandom shortly after I posted the above, and I just
now got around to admitting that there was no way I'd retrieve "The
Ballad of Chicken Little" and so forth, and started over.
