1912 GEM Junior Style SE Safety Razor In Excellent Condition. This wonderful collectible razor is Marked "GEM JUNIOR, Brooklyn, New York, Made in U.S.A., Patd 1912", it is 3 1/4" long. The razor is plated Brass with a solid hexagon handle. It has a
Flip-Open blade holder and Uses Standard Single Edge Blades that are widely available. Also included is a NOS box of Treat Single Edge Blades. The razors blade stops are in place and work as they should.

This great razor is solid brass, there's nothing that shines quite like brass, please see the pictures! Originally, GEM used the "Junior" designation to indicate that the razor took the new (at the time) non-wedge single edge blades. Thus, the first GEM
Jr. (and the later GEM Jr. Bar) was an early (ca. 1901) SE lather catcher. By the time they came out with the 1912 design, "Junior" seemed to be just a label with no particular meaning attached. Please be sure to look closely at the pictures, also see
