(That’s scientific thinking for you: we are already collecting the raw
data, why not analyze it for other possibly-interesting stuff?)
Overall indications are that NZ has much lower alcohol consumption
than, say Canada or Australia; it is more comparable to someplace like
Italy. Auckland had noticeably lower consumption than smaller centres,
and the South Island had higher figures than the North. There was no
sign of significant variation across different parts of Auckland.
