    Just another trivial beet up.
A couple of days is not the same as living there. And the criticism of Luxon for not allowing the press to visit is stupid - there are obvious security issues involved.
You would think that the press and yourself would have something of substance to criticse the government for but apparently not, perhaps the government is doing well. However personal attacks aimed at the PM would seem to be the plan right now, what childish nonsense.

No. It is a childish, beat up. There are obvious security issues with allowing the press to go through the house.

Rubbish - press have been to plenty of functions at Premier House -
but I would not have expected the press to attend a family party at
    his new residence.

They apparently had a good time - it was only later that Luxon
appeared to change his mind - and yes he was entitled to claim
$52,000. Sadly for him there was a precedent of not treating taxpayers
like an ATM in Bill English deciding that it was not a good look for
him to claim it for his Karori House, the minders must have been very
quick off the mark to get him to back down so quickly - but by then he presumable felt he had to keep up the story about Premier House not
being suitable for him - and presumably there was no-one able to get
it fixed - that would have been far too hard.

Really, you don't say - well I never!

Indeed, I have observed that you never!

There is the assertion that the accommodation for the Prime Minister
is inadequate - why are they not letting the press go and have a look
and show the public the horrors of accommodation that has been good
enough for a few previous Prime Ministers - perhaps you did not
realise that Luxon is not actually living there at present?

They apparently had a good time

I agree with you - Luxon has a whole government there to do what he
asks - all he had to do it tell someone to get it fixed. Clearly you
do not believe that Luxon is able to "get things done", but this is
not nearly as hard as paying off political donors like the Tobacco
    companies . . .

Time passes, houses get older and need maintenance - the house need work. Period.
