It would be funny if it was not so serious for those poor folks who have been taken in by the greed of Tesla and other manufacturers.
Everybody with a small amount of technical knowledge knows that cold affects the abilty of batteries to charge and hold their charge. It is extremely old knowledge.

But it is government subsidies which makes it all happen. Stop the
subsidies, then EV & windmill & solar business falls off the cliff.

Snake oil salesmen are all over whatever the government subsidises.
    Point the finger fairly.

Do you believe that is why the government is making some electric and
hybrid cars pay more than the equivalent petrol car in taxes to pay
for roads? Do you think that is fair?

I see this as We do not need to mention this as no one is asking as the EV owners are so happy with their EV.

The folks in Norway have taken some EV on a mid winter trip and seen what
    the real world ranges are.

Geoff buys cars on you tube has promised us, the viewers his take on it. He
    is on holiday at present.

Also to be fair -40 degrees temp is some what rare. (extreme)

That is not what Willy was saying.

The Road user charges have been "messed up" with the EV hybrid vehicles
rolling on the roads. Yes it needs to be sorted. The Minister acknowledges
the problem. They are working on it.
