Five months of lower numbers, 4 months of the coalition Goverment.Yes that is correct - anybody who sees this government as far right is quite simply either stupid or lying or most likely both.
Chris Bishop is saying alot of the common sense things. Labour left a >disaster, we need to get the long term folks out first, and “We are >determined
to fix this appalling economic and social disaster and I will be making >further
announcements soon.”
So the Government is going to help the refugees have a place they can call >home. All this from what Rich calls a far right Government.

The reason of course for the reduction is that the building programme
under the Labour Government was very successful; you may note that the >reduction in the need for emergency housing was already going down
before the election and before the new Government was formed. We can
say that National have not delayed that process - they have not yet
sold off any more public housing stock. Even Chris Bishop has not been
able to point to one action of the new government that has made any >difference to this trend, which was well under way by the time of the >election. The effects of cyclones and flooding will have increased the
need for emergency housing - again the new government appear to have
had a little as possible to do with the recovery efforts.
