In general the people who want to stand for Government should not be
    allowed to do so.

MP selection by ballot is my solution. Do a term or two and then exit.
Similar to Jury duty. Maybe not a good solution by worth a try.

I note you are increasing your use of sarcasm - overuse of it really

You haven't changed over the years that is for sure.

This country was pretty good in the 70s, especially relative to similar countries.
Then the 80s arrived and successive terrible governments started the decline in standards and performance.
Since turn of the century, we have had two reasonable governments, both with three terms.
Then six years ago Ardern initiated the deliberate destruction of democracy, Hipkins continued but fortunately not for long.
What we have now is significantly better than that. A wise and fair person would watch with care, and give them a chaance. Unfortunately there are those who just want to continue the chaos and deceit of the past government and spend their energy supporting any and all attempts to drive us back to the stone age. Rich80105 is one such. You?

Quite a common technique for distracting from the fact that you are losing >the argument.
There is no argument because you have no case to argue.
You did not understand a simple English construct, your problem not mine.
So, no distraction from me - but you are nothing but a dsitraction here, I suspect that is your purpose.
