This is an informative article of of the history of the RMA, which has been re-instated after the previous Government's legislation for the replacement
of the RMA has failed.
The article points out attempts to get a bi-partisan solution have not been sucessful. Yet, all sides agree that the RMA is not fit for purpose.
The environment vs economy situation is beat sorted out in a non policical
way. Same as health and infurstructure.
Looks like this Government will have a stab at improving the RMA and then Labour if/when it gets in will do some more readjustment to make it agree
with their idealogy.
