There has been a lot of scaremongering over this slogan. I hear people describing it as “anti-Semitic”. Presumably they mean “anti-Jewish”? After all, Arabs are Semites, too. Or maybe they are just being
even-handed in saying that it could be used for (or against) Semites
    of all persuasions.

Interesting to see that slogan making an appearance at this recent demonstration in Haifa, Israel, where peace-loving Jews and Arabs
gathered together to protest the Government’s (mis)handling of the
war. Here it is being used for the Palestinian cause, and the Jews who
are nearby seem to have no trouble with it <https://www.aljazeera.com/gallery/2024/1/20/refuse-to-fight-jewish-arab-activists-call-for-peace-in-israels-haifa>.

Followup item covering the same protest <https://www.aljazeera.com/editorial/2024/1/21/reporters-notebook-covering-an-first-antiwar-protest-in-israel>.
Seems the authorities tried strenuously, using every trick in their
book, to stop it going ahead. In the end the organizers had to go to
the Supreme Court to get it to confirm their right to hold a protest.

Even then, lots of restrictions were imposed: it was held on a
Saturday (Sabbath) where lack of public transport would make it hard
for people to attend; it had to be during the day, for a maximum of
two hours, and only a maximum of 700 people were allowed to be part of
    it.

In spite of all that, Jews and Arabs, including some Jews who lost
family to the Hamas attack on Oct 7, were able to come together to
express their wish for an end to the war and the institution of
    peaceful coexistence.

“It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not
happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian people have been subjected to
56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land
steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their
economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes
demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight
