    This is another worthwhile article.

    It sets out the emergency situation in NZ and gives the costs of the present situation.

    Good news is that things have started to get better and hopefully it will
    under the present Government. It certainly needs fixing.

    $1.48 billion in five years is a great number of houses which could have
    been built. As it stands it is money down the drain to the motel owners
    profit.

    Clearly not but the price of food and petrol are part of the attraction, and basically many people were just disillusioned and wanted to go somewhere else, Australia is a convenient destination. We shall see how things pan out over the next couple of year will we not?
