• Willie Jackson vs Winston Peters

From Crash@21:1/5 to All on Tue Dec 19 12:13:03 2023
Looks like we have an interesting sideshow developing here, with
Jackson deciding to stay on in Parliament to take on Winston.

My prediction: Speaker Brownlee will have to rule fairly soon on
whether "sunshine" is allowed in Parliament in reference to an MP.
There might also be something of substance to come out of this.

I would love it if it wasn't so serious - however I hope Jackson changes his mind and fades away into the oblivion he so richly deserves.

There is nothing serious in it at all - as Crash said it is a
sideshow, and nothing of substance has come from it at least as yet.
Peters has been bought for 18 months - after that he will be looking
to the next election. Jackson is not likely to fade into oblivion -
and that could be emphasised by his responding to Peters by referring
to him as R Hon 'twilight' Peters - and that would be appreciated by
    most members of the House!
