"A Te Whatu Ora employee is accused of leaking data from the health ministry's
National Vaccination Database to spread misinformation about vaccines."
Question. How can data spread misinformation about vaccines? or anything
else for that matter.

all about the same data breach. The first thread was headed :
""The Other side to the "podium of truth" ". started by Tony on
3/12/2023, at 9:02 pm, that peddled the link: >https://rumble.com/v3ynskd-operation-m.o.a.r-mother-of-all-revelations.html?
Then there was another thread started by Willy Nilly called "The MoH
data leak" started 4/12/2023, at 11:12 am.
Willy Nilly said: "My own view is that the data (as described) is too >incomplete for quantifiable analysis of vaccine harm, although Kirsch
has squeezed some poignant signals out of it. Also it is operational
data with unknown data quality issues, although it was evidently good
enough to serve as an ongoing operational MoH database."
It appears however that the data was only a very small part of any >operational database; and the analysis was grossly misleading.
For a lighthearted but more realistic view, see: >https://twitter.com/publicaddress/status/1731192011271934419
The reality is that some people are fooled by psuedo-science - and
some are politically motivated to believe the nonsense peddled by the
likes of Liz Gunn - although thankfully not so gullible that many
voted for her or her party.
It was not the data that misled in that initial thread; the data was
not really disclosed - just the results of some misguided phony
''analysis'' that was believed by the gullible.
New Zealand has participated in extensive internatonal data gathering
of Covid related results over the whole period of the pandemic and
still continuing. That data consistently shows that New Zealand had
New Zealand had world-leading results, together with a few other
countries (Japan I think also did well, but Sweden dropped behind
Norway and Denmark by pulling back too early from isolation practices.
Hopefully the peddlers of this phony data analysis will be
appropriately penalised, but unfortunately some will believe whatever
they think supports their distorted political views, regardless of the
source or even of common sense. The spreading of the mis-information
is through links to crazy presentations without applying critical
thought - that is the fault of the gullible as much as it is of those
that seek to mislead, including those that post links to such rubbish
through either ignorance or malice.
It appears however that the data was only a very small part of any >operational database; and the analysis was grossly misleading.
The reality is ...

appropriately penalised ...
