What a load of drivel - just more evidence of media bias and enjoying the fruits of a bribe.

"The message is clear. The mainstream media are sulking because they think >the voters elected the wrong government. They are angry and indignant that >despite all their efforts, New Zealand swung right on October 14."

In Trump's words, The election was stolen, and we have to fight like hell.

At the start of every government the media seek answers as to what the
new government will do, and to get comments from as many new Ministers
as possible. Some will be seeking to trigger a sacking, or to prompt a
new MP to say something embarrassing. That feeding frenzy will last
for as long as it is entertaining. Some Prime Ministers are better
than others at avoiding it - Key, Clarke and Ardern did quite well - Oppositions are similarly being probed - we know that National had
problems in the term after Ardern became PM; Labour had a difficult
time for the term after Key became PM. Scalp hunters are seeking prey
from both government and opposition - the major stories at present are
about conflict between Peters, Sinclair and Luxon as leaders of the
    new government

Even with the spelling mistake the wish is quite clear. What is not
clear is what Tony thinks should actually be done to achieve that
"aspirational goal". Suppose the statement made by Tony is converted
to part of the Speech from the Throne intoned at the opening of
parliament as say "The Main Stream Media is to be dismantled by its
own bias and replaced with old-fashioned journalists." There would
probably be a few questions about just what that means, but also what, specifically, does the government propose to do? Will they make a
compulsory purchase of shares in some media companies? Will they do
away with press conferences? What are the action plans? Who are "old-fashioned journalists"? What are the actions that accompany the
political goal? Who goes and who stays?

Your lack of understanding of simple English has let you down. The meaning is clear in what I wrote. At least to those for whom English is well understood. And your pickiness over a typo tells us all we need to know about your maturity.

How about elections? We never get to elect our media, so we get a
never-ending stream of left-wing vomit from the media regardless of
the public will. If instead we could elect a media overseer who's job
is to implement the public will, then we could finally clean out the
    woke retards from the media.

mainstream media are clearly not sulking - they are delighted to have
