Seems to me that that the Chief Executive has decided that this is what the
    new Government might want.

Surely in the caretaker Government times one makes as few changes as possible.

Agreed, but there have been discussions with some spokespeople from
National in particular with most if not all departments, and in this
case Chris Luxon made his views very clear. It is technically only
affecting advice to ministers, but clearly it is not being seen that
way. Treasury for example will be waiting for indications of policy to
include in a fiscal update - usually presented in late November /
early December from memory, but designed in election year to enable a
new government to get a clear idea of the effects of major policy, and
options for minor policy which may not have yet been decided. Party
differences will come into the compromise position of the new
coalition of chaos - NZ First want a government, National want a
smaller government, ACT want a minimal government. There is a long way
    to go . . .

Sounds like the brainwashed Labor lovers there don't want to give up
    their Maori greetings etc.

This is one change that should be made also renaming all of Labor's
Maori named government departments back to ones with English names so
we all know what they are.

The caretaker government has not made the changes in the link above,

I find it fairly simple often, but they do use both names for
    government departments.

I don't think the name Aotearoa is used as often as it was in John
    Key's time.

Never heard it then like today. New Zealand doesn't exist in today's
    media.
