Well look at this some body os trying to flex its mussles to control the
    team.

If this is for the reason of safety then lets not stop there. All rugby
needs to stop, Assuise rules and the American football, throw soccer in as well.

Rugby is going woke. Who would have thought it?

Rugby was the loser at the world cup final. Both teams played their hearts out and the TMO destroyed the game.
As the article says the TMO and VAR need to go but those that can make that happen won't be listening.
The problem at the final was not about safety, it was about different decisions for almost identical incidents and above all about power in the wrong hands. I question whether the right hands actually exist.

There was a similar outcry when seat belts in motor vehicles were
mandated, and when cycle helmets were mandated. When does looking
after safety (and possibly being able to avoid law suits arguing that >insufficient care was taken), get called "woke"? This appears to be
a decision being made by a Sports organisation - it sounds more like >objecting to letting organisations be in charge of their own affairs.
What a silly negative article. If they have gone too far, they will
hear about it by some players ruling themselves out of competitions -
    that is their business.

I suspect Mark Reason is just trying to be provocative - there is very
little balanced reason in that article.
The article is not about safety, your English comprehension is woeful.
The only other possibility is that you are playing the fool.

For a little balance, see: >https://thespinoff.co.nz/sports/24-03-2016/a-reasoned-response-to-the-unreasonable-mark-reason-who-is-bad
Which does not even begin to address the topic that Gordon raised. So totally off topic.
    What a nonsense response.

Mouth guards are useful and do provide protection. Some guys don't get
on with them and choose not to bother. Mandating a $700 mouth guard with threats and fines if you choose not to wear it is bloody ridiculous!

Some clubs are already using something similar.

Might be a better idea to use that data where it's available?

We do not know the funding arrangements. We know that rugby gets more ''physical'' at higher levels; if it is being funded for some levels
only, should we feel sorry for the level immediately lower? Insisting
they are worn is damage limitation - insurance for the Rugby Union -
but there is still a contingent risk at lower levels.
