Yes, it is a small part of the science but the point is absolutely valid - we have the same problem here - people who believe we have a problem but don't understand the environemnt or the science.

Rabbit holes and those that have fallen down them have certainly
become a serious issue - are you testing the idiocy of readers of
nz.general, Tony? I can tell you that I do not find Alan Jones
convincing . . . at least in the first part of that video - those few
minutes we both watched and listened to that rubbish are totally lost
    time . . .

If you were caught in one of the misinformation campaigns I am sorry
for you - but the election is over now, and National do realise that
they have international agreements (that they originally signed New
Zealand up to) that will be very expensive if we ignored real problems
for twits like the very discredited Alan Jones

Sadly it is not. There are idiots all over the word fighting for something they do not begin to understand. And people like Rich blindly suck it all up.

Unfortunately not. You showed me nothing that added to or subtracted from the debate. You merely provided a branch to another topic- no need to fall for that so I did not.

That is largely irrelevant to one problem faced by all of us - both
those that do and by those that do not believe in man-made global
warning. We have signed up to an international Treaty under which we
have agreed to reductions in emissions, or alternatively to pay large
sums of money to someone else that has made such reductions. That
Treaty started for New Zealand when a former National-led government
signed us up. The way in which we meet those obligations will benefit
us by giving us cleaner air which will also assist with health issues
in at least major centres, and give us more resilience in the face of increasing prices for imported petroleum products.

Totally irrelevant. The issue is whether man made climate change is predominantly the cause of changes in the weather. Agreements and such (whether binding or not) are irrelevant.
