• "affected staff" refusing the vaxx

From Willy Nilly@21:1/5 to All on Fri Oct 13 08:18:20 2023
An entertaining article is on Stuff:

    https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/133116645/how-103-covid-vaccine-exemptions-covered-11000-healthcare-workers

about how 11,005 health professionals (doctors, administrative staff,
etc.) were waived the vaccine mandate. The article tries its damndest
to put lipstick on this pig. It refers to the 11K as "affected
workers", as though the poor dears somehow couldn't get their
vaccinations which they were clamouring for, through September 2022.

Ha ha -- under the lipstick is that these 11K *refused* the vaccine.
They were granted the emergency exemptions to prevent the vaccine
    charade from falling apart publically.

Your doctor may be one of the exempted ones. Even as he/she was
required to counsel you to get vaccinated.

At the bottom of this cloud of fog is this ludicrous addendum:

    "Not here for the hate.
We're increasingly concerned by the misinformation and bad behaviour
happening over on X (Twitter). So we've left that cesspit to focus on
stories and connections that make things better for Kiwis."

I get it -- this story came from Twitter, else Stuff wouldn't have
carried it. But Stuff are stamping their feet like a churlish child,
crying "I'll never look at the Twitter cesspit again, WAAAAHHHH".

It even got better, X stuff claimed it was no longer sharing information

Why is an extented voting period even needed?

Voting used to be on election day only, but if you couldn't vote on
election day you could apply for a special vote.

    Why is that so hard?

    Bill.
