    More media nonsense.
Pity Labour have no successes to talk about for the past 6 years, no wonder all they can do is tell lies anout the opposition.

It is interesting that Labour have nothing but attacking National's
policies. It certainly draws attention to the oppositions policy while
offering nothing from the other side.

In a "Living Crisis", which has been pumped into the public's brain by the media, tax cuts (more money) are going to be very attractive. In a world
where the two tribes are forming very little thought is giving to many this country a great place to live.

Agreed. Labours campaign is incredibly shallow and naive - totally
ignoring what they have accomplished is an implied admission that they
have achieved nothing worth mentioning in an election campaign (don't mention the water reforms).

I find it amusing watching Labour try to copy Nationals policies as they're announced :)

Even Bassett describes National's plans as ill-advised, but that
website is not known for joined up thinking - see for example

    https://www.bassettbrashandhide.com/post/rob-macculloch-who-are-newshub-s-highly-regarded-economists-trying-to-discredit-the-nats
When simple mathematics and a database of sales are all that is
needed, the only defence they can think of is that the people doing
the sums did not have a Doctorate!

The silly part where National are ignoring the economics of their
proposals is that they know that the biggest gains will be made by
high income earners who have rental property investments - it links
fairly strongly with National MPs, and undoubtedly with many political
donors - but their rhetoric was that they expect rents to fall . . .
When Luxon was asked if he would be reducing rents it was clear that
he did not - but undoubtedly many will reflect any increase in values
in the desired level of rent . . .

Rich your reply to me does not reference anything I said, neither does
it address any comments that Gordon or Tony made. The cite in Tony's
original post makes a point that is worthy of consideration. There is
no reference to Bassett at all so the whole tenor of your post is
    irrelevant.

By all means introduce an opinion from Bassett if you wish but you
should provide a cite for what you claim Bassett has said anything
relative to the cite Tony provided in his original post.
