• Hosking methodically slices Hipkins into small pieces

It's a tough listen - Hipkins stammering and evading as Hosking runs through an endless list of Hipkins' and Labour's failures and lies. A political baby seal clubbing. Very had not to feel sorry for Hipkins as he's slowly and methodically fileted.

I do think you have exaggerated a bit JohnO - Hosking ran through
several issues and Hipkins was totally inadequately prepared for all
of them except recent poll results..

On the polls, Hipkins could only acknowledge the situation and say
that Labour had until election day to turn their fortunes around.
    Standard stuff.

On the 'PREFU', the Government should not know what is coming in
detail but will be very well aware of what is most likely to be in it.
Hipkins insistence that he could not comment is simply defensive. If
there was anything likely to be positive Hipkins could have given
answers to Hosking that were postulation rather than simply say 'no
comment'. Either that or Hipkins was not briefed adequately by his
    department (again).
