An acquaintance of mine who is part of a very large Wellington organisation has compiled a list of people he knows, and who they know, who have been disadvantaged by these idiots who are holding the city to ransom.
    Results to date are -
1 person missed a job interveiew and was told to not bother if they can't get there on time (told by the recruiter, not the potential employer). He has changed recruiters.
    3 people missed internal flights.
1 person missed an international flight and potentially lost their money (he is still hopeful of some sort of refund).
Hundreds (maybe thousands) of people late for work, some told off, most were forgiven by decent employers.
Three ambulances stuck with sick people on board on the way to hospital, one turned around and drove to a different hospital.
    1 birthday party missed.
    1 ferry missed.
1 fire truck stuck, fortunately a false alarm.
    5 minor traffic accidents.
Time to jail these fools for 30 days or similar after their second offence, but we won't will we?
I have always supported the right to peaceful protest but this is pushing the word peaceful to the limit.
